Keep Australia Beautiful NSW

Clean Beaches - Connecting Our Coast Awards Program

The Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Clean Beaches - Connecting Our Coast Awards Program encourages and recognises coastal communities, local councils, volunteers, businesses and surf lifesaving clubs who protect this State’s beautiful coastline. The program empowers coastal communities to actively work for a cleaner, more sustainable environment through the sharing of knowledge, experience and resources. Dune and habitat conservation, environmental education, anti-litter/waste management, community partnerships, youth involvement, and visitor friendly initiatives are examples of the types projects that are awarded.

Entering the Clean Beaches - Connecting Our Coast Prgram is a great opportunity to have your hard work recognised and celebrated, and a terrific way for communities to foster a strong spirit and show pride in their local environment. The current Overall Clean Beach title holder in NSW for 2013 is Huskisson Beach in Jervis Bay. Visit our Clean Beaches 2012 page, for more information about Huskisson and all the other State Winners from last years program.
