Keep Australia Beautiful NSW runs a number of events throughout the year, which educate about best environmental practices as well as reward those in the community who make large strides towards keeping NSW beautiful.

After more than 10 years of successfully delivering the only Litter Congress in Australia and following attendee feedback, in 2024, KAB NSW is expanding the scope of our flagship annual event.

Bringing together experts, advocates, policymakers, and industry leaders, we aim to address litter and illegal dumping head-on. The Congress will explore holistic approaches that encompass prevention, cleanup, and the use of discarded materials through insightful discussions, shared experiences, and strategic collaborations.

Co-hosted & sponsored by: Penrith City Council

Winning the title of the “State’s Tidiest Town” has become a much sought-after honour and is highly contested by small and large towns alike.

DATE: 5th – 11th August, 2024

Keep Australia Beautiful Week is held late August each year to raise awareness about the simple things we can all do in our daily lives to reduce our impact on the environment and encourage action.

Whilst it’s certainly important to recycle and reuse, reducing waste right at the source is the most effective and efficient way to make a genuine impact in Australia, to decrease the amount of litter we find in our streets and public areas.

Together, we all have the power to #KeepAustraliaBeautiful

The Keep Australia Beautiful NSW (KAB NSW) Annual Fundraising Dinner is a prestigious affair held at Parliament House, Sydney.

The NSW Premier is the President of KAB NSW and each year hosts our fundraising dinner, which is our one fundraising venture of the year.

With an emphasis on thoughtful and research-based methods of inquiry and with input from a range of sectors, the Litter Congress (held until 2022) provided the opportunity for individuals and groups involved in litter management, prevention and reduction to assemble to jointly tackle littering and behaviour change in an interactive environment.
