FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR TEACHERS AND SCHOOLS

EnviroMentors is usually funded by your local Council. If and when your Council chooses to fund incursions for your LGA, we will be in touch via email for you to register.

If your school has the budget to fund the incursions privately, or would like to charge each student to participate, send us an email at education@kabnsw.org.au or fill out the form here, and we will prepare a quote.

You can find our full module offering here. The modules available to your school will differ based on the Council who funds your incursions.

Yes! Please get in touch to request the curriculum links associated with each module. All our modules are also filled with important sustainability knowledge which is relevant both inside and outside of the classroom!

Our workshops are suitable for up to 35 students each. Most schools choose to schedule one class at a time, but you are welcome to combine classes if the total number remains under 35.

Each of our Primary School incursion topics is suitable for any grade, with the content being adapted based on age, level, and prior knowledge of the topic.

We also have specialised modules for Preschool and High School students.

One wonderful EnviroMentor will visit your school on the day. This one of the reasons we keep our workshop size to less than 35 students.

On the day, all we need from you is:

  • An indoor, central location in which to conduct the incursions. A hall, library or empty classroom will serve perfectly – preferably not requiring stair access, as the educator will have plenty of equipment to set up.
  • Enthusiastic students and a supervising teacher for each class participating.
  • Someone to meet us in the morning and show us where to set up. It’s also handy if your office staff know that we are visiting!

After that, sit back and let us do the rest!

We would love to visit your school again! Usually, we can only allocate your school one visit per year based on Council funding. Send us an email at education@kabnsw.org.au and we’ll see what we can do. If we cannot visit again this year, we will likely be able to next year!
