Northern Beaches named NSW Sustainable City for 2020

The winner of the prestigious Keep Australia Beautiful NSW 2020 Sustainable Cities Awards was announced on Thursday 12 November 2020. The Overall 2020 Sustainable Cities Award was presented to Northern Beaches Council by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales. The winner of the prestigious Keep Australia Beautiful NSW 2019 Sustainable Cities Awards was announced on Thursday 17 October 2019. The Overall 2019 Sustainable Cities Award was presented to Cumberland Council. New Keep Australia Beautiful NSW prizes offer $5000 to Return and Earn sustainability champions

Sustainability champions who have worked to reduce litter and encourage recycling through the NSW Return and Earn scheme could win one of two new $5,000 prizes in the 2019 Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Sustainable Cities and Sustainable Communities – Tidy Towns Awards.
