With its rich heritage, natural beauty, and commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, Armidale is the winner of the 2012 Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Overall Tidy Towns, Sustainable Communities Award.

After many months of assessing, judging and planning, the highly anticipated Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Tidy Towns, Sustainable Communities Awards were held over three days this weekend (2nd to 4th Nov) in the 2011 Overall Award winning town of Kyogle, NSW.

The communities of Nundle, Coopernook, Branxton, Soldiers Point/Salamander Bay, Singleton and Dubbo came out big winners at the Tidy Towns - Sustainable Communities Awards for 2012 today, all being named winners in their population categories for the important and highly competitive NSW Office of Environment & Heritage, Wildlife Corridors & Habitats Conservation Award.

Other entrants can also be proud of their achievements. Boomi, Bowraville, Kyogle, Tilligery Peninsula, Gunnedah, Griffith, Wagga Wagga, Tamworth and Toronto didn’t walk away empty handed; all were presented with Highly Commended Awards in this category.

Other entrants can also be proud of their achievements. Leeton, Griffith and Tamworth didn’t walk away empty handed; all were presented with Highly Commended Awards in this category.
