OzHarvest has taken home the Visy Sponsored, Waste Minimisation Award at Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Sustainable Cities Awards 2012, which are presented by Sydney Water. Petersham Bowling Club didn’t go home empty handed, being named Runner Up for their ‘Bowling Away Waste’ project.

On the back of winning multiple Keep Australia Beautiful NSW, Clean Beaches Regional Awards for the Northern Rivers, Maggies Beach at Cabarita has been named the OVERALL WINNER of the program for 2012. The beach has also walked away with the State Community Partnerships & Action Award.

The communities of Nundle, Boggabri, Kyogle, Swansea, Broken Hill and Northern Tablelands came out big winners at the Tidy Towns, Sustainable Communities Awards for 2011 today, all being named winners in their population categories for the important and highly competitive NSW Office of Environment & Heritage, Wildlife Corridors & Habitats Conservation Award.
