The communities of Tottenham, Wyalong/West Wyalong, Tilligerry Peninsula, Armidale and Wagga Wagga came away big winners at the Tidy Towns, Sustainable Communities Awards for 2011 today, all being named winners in their population categories for the important and highly competitive Water Conservation Award.

Cowra High School, Singleton’s King Street Public School, Cessnock’s St Philip’s Christian College and Cessnock East Public School, Lithgow’s Zig Zag Public School and Collingullie Public School in Wagga Wagga all came away big winners at the Tidy Towns, Sustainable Communities Awards for 2011 today, being named winners in their categories for the important and highly competitive Schools Environment Award.

Delungra, Boggabri, Rylstone, Brewarrina, Morpeth, Wallerawang, Leeton, East Maitland and Wagga Wagga win Highly Commended Awards.

Keep Australia Beautiful NSW in conjunction with the Lithgow Tidy Towns Committee were thrilled to hear Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of NSW, has accepted an invitation to attend the Tidy Towns Awards in Lithgow on Saturday 5th November. Her Excellency is the patron of Keep Australia Beautiful NSW.
