Assessing is a crucial part of the Tidy
Towns program and requires a person
who has extensive work/life experience, is
a good face to face communicator and
who can articulate effectively to produce well written reports. It is voluntary work however all your out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
In 2011 the assessor needs to:
- Undergo 2 days of training based at Sydney 26th – 27th July
- Dedicate 5 full days from 15th – 20th August to do in field assessing of projects by various regional NSW towns.
- Submit all written reports no later than Monday Sept 5. This will require a reasonable amount of your personal time AFTER the assessing is complete to finish the reports on time.
Good report writing skills are crucial with attention to correct grammar and the ability to make suggestions in the report as to how the regional group may improve upon their project. You will be under time pressure to complete the reports upon your time return from the field and need to be aware of this from the outset.
Being an assesor has a number of benefits and will add to your experience. If you would like to be considered please send a brief background of yourself and your resume to Phil Kelly, Tidy Town Program Manager (02) 9633 3380 or email pkelly@kabnsw.org.au
