NSW Office of Environment & Heritage
You may know the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, part of the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage, manages national parks and reserves in NSW on behalf of the public, about 8% of the land area of the state. What this means is that whilst these core conservation areas can represent examples of our unique natural heritage values and outstanding scenery, in more than 92% of the landscape there is an opportunity to create wildlife habitats and corridors to help provide the necessary links for nature.
