Peter grew up next to a national park and his enjoyment of the natural environment instilled him with a strong sense of environmental awareness. His past roles have included working with National Parks and in environmental education at Warringah Council. He arrived at Keep Australia Beautiful NSW in 2004 and managed litter reduction campaigns and audits, as well as Clean Beach Challenge, Sustainable Cities and Tidy Towns, before becoming CEO in 2007. He holds a degree in Environmental Management (UWS Hawkesbury), and Certificates in Bush Regeneration and Business Governance. He is currently completing an MBA at UTS majoring in Community Management and Project Management.

Phil Kelly
Tidy Towns Program Manager

Phil graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Agriculture) from Hawkesbury Agricultural College in 1985 and began a career in agriculture. He worked in Queensland for a decade advising farmers and working in marketing, sales and cropping. He also managed his own rural consultancy business and was one of the first four environmental auditors trained in Australia to audit the cotton industry. Phil was actively involved with local communities when living in regional Australia and developed a love of the environment and people within it. Phil is currently completing Certificate 2 in Bush Regeneration at Wentworth Falls TAFE. He is a new member of the KAB team and is looking forward to working with the spirited Tidy Towners

Elizabeth Jarrett
Media and Communications Manager

Elizabeth spent her high school years at McDonald College of Performing Arts where she was able to indulge her love of the performing arts as a singer and actor. She graduated from Macquarie University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Cultural Studies). Her second year of university studies was spent on exchange in Norwich, U.K. where she studied film and television production, literature and cultural philosophy, volunteered as a reporter at a community radio station and travelled through France, Spain and Italy during her summer break. Elizabeth currently volunteers at a community radio station and is utilising her media experience in her role as Communications Coordinator for Keep Australia Beautiful NSW.

Rosemary Hadaway
Programs Manager

Rosemary has had a long involvement in Environmental Education in NSW. She is an experienced Primary School Teacher and worked as a Field Studies Officer at Bicentennial Park, Homebush Bay. While there she developed a range of education programs and conducted nature-based excursions for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Rosemary also has broad experience in conducting tours, presentations and workshops for diverse audiences. She is heavily involved in environmental and community activities and is the Coordinator of Permaculture Ryde. Rosemary holds a Diploma of Teaching (Milperra CAE), a Master of Environmental Education (Macquarie University) and a Certificate of Bush Regeneration (Ryde TAFE).

Peta Golla
Waste Watcher Program Manager

In 2001, Peta graduated from UNE (Armidale) with a Bachelor of Education concentrating on the environment and behaviour management. She completed a Master of Environmental Management at UWS (Hawkesbury) in 2003 with a focus on soil and water quality. Following completion of her Masters, Peta travelled to China with staff from the UWS, ICEM Research group. She contributed to a research initiative, the China Higher Education Strategic Initiative. Her work was published in China and she was invited to lecture at a national conference. On her return to Australia, Peta worked with environmental consultants specialising in wetlands and waterways. She joined Keep Australia Beautiful NSW in 2004 as an Environmental Education Officer.

Alyson Lyne
Environmental Education Officer

Alyson arrived at Keep Australia Beautiful NSW in 2009. After a childhood of living in the Blue Mountains Alyson had the desire to expand her understanding of the natural environment through formal education. Alyson completed a Health Science degree in 2007 and went on to obtain her Master of Teaching (Primary) from the University of Western Sydney in 2008. As a Waste Watchers educator for Keep Australia Beautiful NSW, Alyson particularly enjoys the variety of teaching in a wide range of schools and to a diversity of student demographics as well as the experience of networking with the various school communities and councils throughout NSW. Alyson’s primary passion is to expand the knowledge of NSW children about their precious environment and how they can sustain a future for themselves and their own children.
