 MAJOR WORKS
Cullen Bullen Cemetery----- Castlereagh Highway Cullen Bullen Over several years the Cullen Bullen Cemetery was transformed into one that the Community is proud of. Improvements made now offer our Community the choice of traditional grave sites, columbarium, ash garden and lawn cemetery when burying their loved ones. The cosmetic appearance of trees, seating, fencing, sealed driveway and carpark with garden areas make services and subsequent visits less painful. The excellent work done now is in fact creating our community’s heritage for the future,

 HERITAGE CEMETERY
Back Cullen Road This project was undertaken over two years. The Back Cullen Cemetery is a small colonial cemetery of historical value. It was used from 1849 to 1915. The site was unfenced, neglected and overgrown with long grass, Lithgow City Council’s Heritage Advisor Barbara Hickson visited the site and gave advice on how to enhance its appearance with due respect to those interred. There are 5 standing headstones, also 7 unmarked graves were located and marked with a wooden cross.A new front fence with lynch-gate style entry was installed as were new side and rear fences. The site was cleaned and restoration of existing wrought iron was carried out. A bench seat was cemented in on site for future visitors. The relevance to our community is that this cemetery has graves dating back to the Early1800’s and is the final resting place of early settlers that lived and worked in the area. A Highly Commended Award for this project was presented at Dorrigo in 2008
